Hatters Collective Group Announces NIL Partnership with Verses Apparel, Co. to Support Stetson University Student-Athletes

Lake Mary, FL. – Athletes First Initiative (AFI), a service provider to Name, Image, & Likeness (NIL) Collectives at the mid-to-low Division I and DII levels, announced a partnership between the Hatters Collective Group (HCG), an NIL Collective supporting Stetson University student-athletes, and Verses Apparel, an athleisure apparel line dedicated to providing “a product and platform to make a difference in the lives of others.” The partnership will provide NIL apparel endorsement opportunities for Hatters Collective Baseball student-athletes.

“This partnership is another great example of the marketing opportunities available to the Non-Power 5 conference athletes,” said Dr. Matt Wilson, AFI and Hatters Collective Group Executive Director. “Hatters Collective Group athletes demonstrate the qualities—hard work, dedication and servant leadership—that brands find attractive and valuable in their ambassadors.”

Verses Apparel Co., which dedicates a portion of its proceeds from product sales to selected charities, seeks to create opportunities for its customers through their purchases to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

“Here at Verses, we are incredibly excited about the opportunity to partner with the Hatters Collective Group to support student-athletes who will in turn help spread our company’s message of service through our clothing brand,” said Cameron Sanders, owner and founder of Verses Apparel. This partnership marks our brand’s first engagement in the NIL sector, and none of this could have been made possible without the help and support of the Hatters Collective Group.”

Sanders, who was himself a Division I baseball letterman at Troy University, sees the partnership as a way to share his company’s values with student-athletes while providing them with tangible benefit. “I truly understand and recognize the value in the Name, Image, and Likeness concept—providing an opportunity of shared value between an organization and student-athletes to ultimately advance each other’s goals collectively with a shared vision and approach.

“We are excited to help facilitate the partnership between the Verses Apparel, Co. and the Hatters Collective Group,” said Wilson. “The positive synergies between the two service-driven organizations make them natural partners to support student-athletes while building the Verses Apparel brand as a force for good in the community.”
